Many advantages combined
With the electric motor, you can complete many everyday short trips. For longer journeys, you can count on the proven range provided by the combustion engine, which brings you confidently to your destination. This mode holds the charge of the battery and through recuperation even partly recharges it so that at the end of a long cross-country trip you can switch back to purely electric mode for a relaxed drive through the city.

Choice of drive mode: four driving modes
The form of drive that is used can be controlled in the Audi Q5 TFSI e via four different driving modes: purely electric driving (EV), primary use of the combustion engine (Hold), increase the battery charge for later electric driving (Charge)², or efficient interaction (Hybrid).

Everything in view
The power meter located on the left in the optional Audi virtual cockpit shows the total power of the system, the drive mode and the charge level of the battery. In the centre- as in the myAudi App³ - you can read off the remaining range of the electric and combustion engine.
Home charging
The standard e-tron compact charging system is available for charging at home. It consists of a control unit including a vehicle connection cable and two different mains connection cables (with household and industrial plugs).

Re-energise away from home. And charge your Audi:
Audi charging⁶ at more than 400,000 public charging points in 27 European countries. With tariffs for occasional use or regular charging also on long journeys. Can be used conveniently with RFID card or myAudi app⁷. With integration into MMI and into the e-tron route planner.

When purchasing a vehicle, customers have a choice of three tail light signature designs with which to add a personal touch. In addition, depending on driving mode, the character of the tail light signature is adapted automatically when in use. The optional digital OLED combination rear lights keep a proximity detection⁴ ready: If the vehicle is stationary and another vehicle or other road users approach from behind to within two meters, all OLED segments are automatically activated as a visible area magnification.
